Franklin, NC & Margaret Arundel(Arrendale). Emigrated to Isle of Wight, Va

1.)"The Wilkes Genealogy" has been compiled in a book by Ivan E. Bass in 1964.
It includes the family of John Cranford and Elilzabeth Wilkes. The book is probably out of print, (pp. 15-16).
2) "Early Families of Edgecombe County, North Carolina, Its Past and Present." a book published by the Tarboro Historical Society in 1881 (with an addendum in 1920)
