Hi, My name is Cyd Rawls.

I am an Illustrator/Graphic Designer and what ever else seems to fall into my lap..
I have been Drawing and Painting for most of my life and have been making a living doing it for over 25 years...

Yes you can make a living doing art! It may not be easy at times...but then what in life is... the challenge is what gives you inspiration...

Since a very young age I have been committed to one of mans most beautiful gifts which is art. This passion and pursuit has carried over into my adult life as my vocation.

Computers have become a powerful tool for an illustrator, I have learned and grown with the technology to produce some of my finest work.

As a parent I have expanded my interest to include education. I am proud to say that I have designed and illustrated an award winning children's learning program made for educators. This program was produced by Califone International Inc., a leader in the manufacture of Audio Visual equipment and programs for educators worldwide.

Working with children, ages Kindergarten through 12th grade, and teaching art and theater in the classroom for 20+ years has been one of the most rewarding things I have done. Theater has been a part of my life since I was four years old. I recently was the theater coach for  Soquel and Cypress High Schools, as well as Childrens summer theater. I learn new things about myself and kids everyday.

I have worked as a freelance artist for most of my career, contracting with small businesses as well as major corporations on a contract basis. I work closely with printers and Service Bureaus to provide the best quality product for my clients. I have also worked in-house at Ad agencies as an Art Director/designer and at a screen printing shop as a Art director/designer/ illustrator.

My other passion and hobby is genealogy - this is an ongoing project that I have been working on since I was 19, It is amazing how much there is to find.. It has helped me to understand parts of myself, my family, and life.......it is a life long endeavor.
